Hereâs my private definition: Networking is strategic info-gathering and/or interpersonal connecting. Easy, proper? Then once more perhaps not since so many wrestle with it. Allow me to add that networking is: Said another means, networking is social âleap-froggingâ to build relationships with the connections of your connections. Networking is not asking favors or anticipating others to seek out you a job. After all, it's work. The bottom line? If networking isnât working for you then the percentages are very high that you are doing one thing incorrect. You could also be: Networking is extra about giving than getting. If your only focus is what you get out of it then you could wish to revamp your approach and think about what youâre giving in change â" a poor or non-existent providing is a waste of your time.
